TORCHE CANDLE CARE

Candle Care & Safety Tips

Don't Leave Candle Unattended

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Ensure the candle is completely out, and the wick ember no longer glows before leaving the room.

Secure the Area

Never burn a candle on or near anything that might catch fire. Keep burning candles away from furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, paper, and flammable decorations. Keep your hair and loose clothing away from the flame.

Keep From Kids & Pets

Make sure children and pets cannot reach burning candles. Do not place lit candles where children, pets, or anyone else can knock them over.

Avoid Drafts & Vents

Avoid drafts, vents, or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning and sooting.

Don't Touch Or Move

Never touch or move a candle while it is burning, or the wax is liquefied.

Keep Candles 3” Apart

Place burning candles at least three inches apart from one another. This ensures they don't melt one another or create their own drafts that will cause the candles to burn improperly.

Candle Care and Safety Additional Guidelines

Upon first ever use, burn for at least two hours or until the entire surface has turned to liquid wax. This will help prolong the life of your candle.
Trim the wick to 1/8” before each lighting.
This will maintain an even and clean burn. Use a wick trimmer for a perfect trim.
It is recommended that after burning the candle for four hours, extinguish, and allow it to cool for two hours—Re-trim before relighting.
Avoid placing your candles where they will be directly exposed to sunlight or harsh indoor lighting, such as a spotlight. Candles may fade if left in bright light for an extended period.
EXTINGUISH and DISCONTINUE the use of a candle when 1/2” of wax remains at the bottom of the jar.
Keep the wax pool free from wicks and other debris at all times.
Never use a knife or sharp object to remove wax drippings from a glass holder. It might scratch, weaken, or cause the glass to break upon subsequent use.

Extinguish a candle if it repeatedly smokes, flickers, or becomes too high. Cool, align, trim the wick as recommended, then check for drafts before relighting.

Allow candles to cool completely before touching or moving.
It is highly recommended to use a candle snuffer to extinguish a candle. Never use water, as it can cause wax to splatter or glass to break.
Always read and follow the manufacturer's use and safety instructions carefully.
